There’s a giveaway going on at Oops, I Craft My Pants. Kira's had a year of blogging! It’s a chance to win her original print or one of her rinchies (they’re like inchies, only round).

My favorite work of hers is definitely her Debt Monsters painting . Very meaningful, yet she still manages to load it with awesome colors!

Veggie Sandwich

Veggie sandwiches are officially on the menu! I decided to add onion to them, so there’s lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, avocado, and a little mustard served on lightly toasted white bread.

And for a little surprise, there's dessert! Strawberry cheesecake. This was a blast to make. There's even a little brown sugar in the crust to give it just the right texture. The strawberry syrup is made from a little paint and glaze, but everything else is polymer clay.

This week's special

I need a space to organize my thoughts and connect with all of you. I’m looking for input on current products and future ideas, and I want to know what you would like to see me make. And since I know your time and input are very valuable, I’m going to also talk about awesome craft finds that might interest you, point you towards tutorials and patterns and post some of my own, and show off yummy recipes (vegetarian friendly).

That’s enough of an intro, onto this week’s special in the making!

This week I’m going to be working on a polymer clay veggie sandwich for the shop. So far, it’s going to have yellow mustard, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and avocado. That’s what I usually have for lunch! So, how’s that sound? Does it need anything else? Any cheese perhaps?
